Savas Opens Up About His Mission and Biggest Challenges

Savas first discovered football when she was just playing around with her older brother. What began as a fun pastime slowly turned into a real passion. When she didn’t make it to the final squad early on, Savas realized she needed to train harder and become better. After a friend invited her to join Tigers Football Academy (TFA), she became interested because TFA offered something special a chance to study abroad through football. Her experience at TFA has been nothing short of special. The strong family atmosphere made her feel right at home, especially with Coach Matt, who treats every player like his own child.

Surabaya (beritajatim.com) – The Tigers Football Academy KU-15 Women's team from Surabaya continues to demonstrate consistency as a serious contender at the top of the Hydroplus Soccer League KU-15 standings. Most recently, the Tigers secured a narrow 2-1 victory over Srikandi Mojopahit in a match held at Bogowonto Field, Surabaya, on Saturday (January 17, 2026). The Tigers' two winning goals were scored by Aimarch Yuki Kanaya and Yumina Naziya Fina. Srikandi Mojopahit, meanwhile, only managed to reduce the deficit through a goal from Azkadelia Queencira Vadelita. Read More

Founded in 2020 at Surabaya European School (SES), Tigers Football Academy has grown from primarily serving SES students to a vibrant community initiative that now supports over 150 children across various age groups.

Our mission is to foster community spirit, promote healthy activity, and develop young talent through fun, discipline, and dedication to the sport of football. At present wesupport several local schools by allowimng their students to come for free with the TFA paying for their transport, equipment and food.
